Los Angeles FC star Carlos Vela could be leaning toward not participating in the MLS tournament which starts Wednesday in Disney.
Vela, whose wife is pregnant, is apparently put off by the idea of going to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando due to the strict rules prohibiting family and friends from staying with players during the competition. Carlos was voted as the 2019 MVP after a season where he set a new league record of 34 regular-season goals for an LAFC side that captured the Supporters’ Shield with the best record. Since joining LAFC in 2018, the 31-year-old has scored 57 goals in 72 appearances in all competitions. Him choosing to sit out would be a blow to the team and the league but it would also be understandable.
