Criminal Minds: The End of an Era
Last week we saw one of the greatest and frightening shows on television come to an end after 15 years. In 2005 CBS premiered its first episode of Criminal Minds and it quickly became a nationwide hit.
Now in 2020, the show concluded with its 15th and final season which was only 10 episodes long. All of the other seasons were anywhere from 20-24 episodes long.
The reason I fell in love with this show is that all of the episodes were frightening, dark, and realistic. The show is centered around an elite team of agents working for the F.B.I. Behavioral Analysis Unit (B.A.U.)
In each episode, they solve cases involving dangerous serial killers and other criminals. They also conduct profiles on who they are looking for.
They characterize them as an unsub before they figure out who they are including victimology.
For all of the seasons, this shows adds a personal touch to each of the main characters where the viewer can feel like they relate to them. This show has one of the most lovable tv characters ever and that is Penelope Garcia played brilliantly by actress Kirsten Vangsness, another reason to fall in love with the show.
Criminal Minds have won 23 wins and has been nominated for 3 Emmys as well as 32 other nominations over the years.
As of right now, they have the first 12 seasons available on Netflix and I want to recommend this absolutely brilliant show.
It has been an ultimate favorite of mine since day 1 and I am ultimately sad to see it come to an end.
