In stunning revelations, Deshaun Watson says the Chicago Bears NEVER talked to him!
Taking a look at the 2017 NFL draft and the question we ask as a Bears fans is why? WHY!?! Why did Ryan Pace trade up to draft Mitchell Trubisky with their first-round pick in this draft? WHY?
As a Bears fan, there were two picks that would have been okay. Jamal Adams, the safety of LSU and Deshaun Watson, the quarterback out of Clemson.
But instead, what does Ryan Pace do? He trades a third-round pick to move up one spot to grab a guy who only attempted 542 passes as a college quarterback. 542!! In comparison to Watson who completed 814 passes in his college career. He also threw for 90 TD’s and passed for over 10,000 yards. Watson was also coming off of a National Championship win over the best defense in the country.
The question I always asked was WHY? Today maybe things were cleared up a little bit. Doug Gottlieb took to Twitter with another one of his absurd takes and he was quickly called out on it. Gottlieb said “The idea that the league evaluates a QB on race in 2020 is just dumb, disconnect, and bitterness from 40-year-old transgressions. Trubisky isn’t as good as Watson/Mahomes the Bears evaluated em all and missed. That’s it.”
DeShaun Watson quickly refuted that statement by saying “THE BEARS NEVER TALKED TO ME.”
WOW! As a Bears fan all I have to say is WOW! This organization his continously been cheap and their have always been rumblings of racism around thi town but this takes the cake.
How in the hell don’t you at least talk to the kid who just led his team to the National Championship? A dual threat option with a cannon for an arm?
You don’t even talk to him?!?!?! Get the fu*k out of here Chicago. This just goes to show that the whole regime needs a change. Virgina McCaskey needs to GO. George McCaskey and Ted Phillips need to follow and Ryan Pace I really hope his days are numbered.
All I have left to say is Deshaun we wish you were our guy. Had us Bears fans been in charge you would be leading us to the playoffs year in and year out. Fu*k the Chicago Bears management what an absolute joke of an organization your have turned the Bears into.
