After the rumors this morning that the British Bulldog will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame it looks like he will be joined by former World Champion John Bradshaw Layfield.
In my opinion, this is well deserved for JBL. JBL wrestled for WWE on and off between 1995 and 2012. He was so diverse in all of his roles. Whether it was Justin Hawk Bradshaw with Uncle Zeb or the wealthy millionaire John Bradshaw Layfield, JBL could do it all.
My favorite role JBL played was as a member of the APA with former tag team partner and Hall of Famer Farooq. Farooq and Bradshaw were a critical part of the Attitude Era’s success and brought physicality and comedy like no other.
JBL won every title there was to win in WWE. He is a Grand Slam Champion. He won the tag team, United States, Intercontinental, and most importantly the World Championship. A belt he held for 280 days, defeating everyone in his path from Big Show, Eddie Guerrero, and even the Undertaker. JBL eventually lost the title to John Cena at Wrestlemania 22.
On top of all of his accolades, I would be hard-pressed not to talk about JBL’s Clothesline from Hell. I have never seen anyone deliver a clothesline like JBL.
Congrats to JBL on a great career and a much deserved Hall of Fame induction.
