COVID-19 has put the world on pause. Life as we know it has been turned upside down. And the one common goal amongst us is how do we get back to some type of normality. This Saturday, May, 23rd Gangrel’s Wrestling Asylum presents the Feeding South Florida Wrestlethon.
It’s going to be a live stream with around five matches for Feeding South Florida. So $1 is six meals. So if you donate $10 that’s 60 meals. We’re looking forward to it, us as pro wrestlers, we’re looking forward to helping people out but it’s also going to help us scratch that itch so that we can get back in the ring and entertain. And what better opportunity then to come out and so it for the charity Feeding South Florida.
Wrestling is important. Wrestling is a way of life and I feel it’s a perfect way for anybody to be entertained and get away from all this crazy drama that’s going on around the world and especially here in South Florida, where we have a tremendous amount of cases of the coronavirus. A lot of people aren’t being fed, a lot of people are unemployed. This is the perfect opportunity to watch a great show and support a great cause.
And while these athletes are excited to share their passion and get back in the ring to entertain once again, they realize how important this opportunity is to give back to those who are in the most need right now.
It’s extremely important. I see people going to Dolphin Mall, lining up just to get food cause they absolutely no income coming in, and it’s nice to be able to do something I love to give back.
People are supporting wrestling. You see big wrestling companies doing empty arena matches just for bringing funds in. This is actually to give back to fight against COVID. There’s a bigger reason to log in and watch Gangrel’s Wrestling Asylum.
Despite how hard things are out there, there are people out there that have it worse. $1 is six meals. That’s a pretty good deal. I’m going to donate a couple of dollars myself, it’s going to be absolutely worth it.
An as much as fans enjoy coming to the Asylum for the shows, this one will be closed to the public.
We’ve had a lot of fun here the past 2-3 years here at the asylum. It’s been a special time for us but this time is even going to be more special as far as being able to watch this from your house or anywhere but here at the asylum.
We’re going to have less than 10 people in the building, we’re going to maintain all the guidelines. We’re building an extra locker room with four people per locker room. We’re going to have hand sanitizer in every room. We’re going to have some coming out and cleaning the ring in between each match. We’re going to wipe the ropes dawn and spray everything, the Full Monty in between each match. That’s why we’re only having five, otherwise, it would be a super long process. But we’re going to try and give you the best entertainment we can and myself I’m looking forward to getting in the ring to. I’m looking to have a little bit of gold around my waist so I’m looking at Lakay.
And while the vampire warrior himself is setting is eyes on the gold, the rest of your favorite GWA stars will be there and ready to pick up there rivalries were they left off.
It’ll probably be Steve Beck and TC Reed, I don’t know but our biggest rivals are the Unlead. That’s the only one I could see. But whatever Gangrel’s got in store for us we’re ready.
We’ve had the advantage every single time. Now yes, they have slipped from our grips every time we have wrestled them. But regardless, fans or no fans Steve Beck and TC Read when we step into that ring we have a history together. And on that day we are going to continue what we have and see who the better team is.
Gangrel and all the wrestlers at the asylum are ready to lace the boots up once again all for one goal and that’s Feeding South Florida! Now even if you can’t make the live-stream this Saturday you can still donate at your convenience anytime this week here.
