Hollywood Icon Robert Conrad Passes Away at 84
Today we have learned that actor Robert Conrad has passed away at the age of 84 years old. Conrad was a native of Chicago. He starred in many films and television series over his iconic career.
He was best known for his starring roles in The Wild Wild West and Baa Baa Black Sheep. One of the coolest things about Conrad is that he did his own stunts. He would go on to star, in the series Centennial, a role he was most proud of. In that role, he starred as French-Canadian Trapper Pasquinel. Conrad also played Lopaka, on the series Hawaiian Eye.
Notable films he performed in were High Mountain Rangers, High Sierra Search, and Rescue.
In The Wild Wild West Conrad starred as James West. This series ran on CBS in the 1960s. After that The Wild Wild West Conrad would star as Major Greg “Popeye Boyington in Baa Baa Black Sheep which was a very popular show in the 1970s on NBC.
Family spokesman Jeff Ballard told People magazine,
“He lived a wonderfully long life and while the family is saddened by his passing, he will live forever in their hearts,”
We are deeply saddened by the passing of this Hollywood Icon.
