RSH‘s Josh DeBord and Chuck Winchester interviewed current WWE producer and former WWE superstar TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd). They talked about a variety of topics including what it was like to team with DH Smith and Cesaro, what is was like being the last graduate from the Hart Dungeon, and his thoughts on his current job as an amazing backstage producer for the WWE. Below is some of the dialogue from the interview.
Where did you develop your love for professional wrestling?
The exact moment was when I watched Summerslam 1992… The British Bulldog versus Bret Hart… I had already fallen in love with it. That’s when I knew that this was what I wanted to do.”
How is it being the last graduate from the Hart Dungeon?
A ton of pride and a lot of pressure… I spent a lot of time in there, it started as a kid just playing games in there… it was pretty painful… down there wrestling with 300-lb guys…”
What was the biggest difference between teaming with Cesaro and DH Smith?
The biggest difference is me… I’m a very different performer in 2009/2010 when I’m a partner with DH Smith… than I am in 2014/2015 with Cesaro… [I was] more of a complete performer in 2015 [than I was early on].”
How does it feel when talent requests to work with you as the producer?
It almost makes me emotional… there’s not a bigger compliment for what I do, than to have a talent request to work with me…”
