18 years ago today when the UFC was first starting to build the franchise it would become today, they decided to bring in Fear Factor host Joe Rogan. He had been with the company before on a part time basis pre Dana White but this time he would work in the commentary booth calling the action and do it a full time basis. Rogan is all MMA and delivered a line only he could do because it’s Joe Rogan.
In the 18 years behind the desk, his enthusiasm hasn’t diminished one bit. It is a sign of being an enthusiast. This is because only such a person like Rogan could let out so much passion for one thing this long without growing tired. With his growing popularity he has continued hosting Fear Factor, started doing comedy, and has a slew of podcasts that have gone mainstream.
Talking about his career Rogan had this to say,
“18 years ago today I did my first commentary for UFC. I’ve had some really fucki*g cool jobs in my life, but being a commentator for the greatest sport in the world is very high on that list.”
“Thank you to Dana White for talking me into doing it, Mike Goldberg for being my brother for life, and all the amazing people I’ve been so lucky to work with there! And a huge thank you to all the fans of the sport for the love and support over the years!!”
All of Us at AEE would like to give Mr. Rogan a congrats on hitting his 18th anniversary with the UFC!
