Welcome back to Dan’s Daily Dose of Wrestling. Today I bring to you guys my potential WWE breakout stars for 2020! Usually, each year we see someone move from lower to midcard or midcard to the main event and this is who I like to make the jump this year.
1. Drew Gulak
From training beginners in the Philadelphia area to wrestling on the blue brand Gulak has shown he can grapple with the best of them but what I’ve seen in his first run on the main roster has been his personality. After being paired with Daniel Bryan around Wrestlemania I can see Drew Gulak start moving up to the IC title picture and feud with guys like Zayn, Ali, Sheamus, Gable, and Jeff Hardy. Drew will show how real guys make others submit.
Over the past year or so we have seen Andrade float between the lower and midcard. He finally became US Champion before getting hurt before Mania. The sky is the limit for Andrade as I can see him turn into a main event heel. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him win the Money in the Bank or the Royal Rumble and main event Wrestlemania. Giving the time this season to develop and get reps with guys like Rollins, Drew Mac, and Kevin Owens.
One of the most underutilized guys on the roster Elias has the mouthpiece and the charisma to make the fans get behind him. If he can add a few more moves to his move set and continue moving up the ladder then I can see an underrated matchup for the title between him and The Fiend around October or November that keeps him on the top end of the roster.
4. Heavy Machinery
Mostly used as a comedic tag team on Smackdown we have not seen the full potential from this team that we were hoping to see when they got called up. What I did like was the first half of their call up we saw Tucker being highlighted while the second half of the year we saw Otis being featured. So now they need to put it together and start cleaning out the dead weight of the division with the Compactor and make the Tag team division their gym. Having a muscle tag team is always a plus at the top end of tag division. I can see at least one title reign for these guys by year-end if management was smart.
5. Ember Moon
Ember has been on the injured list for over 7 months and is due to return soon. This works wonders for the boring women’s division on the blue brand. From the sample size we got from her in the year and a half she’s been called up I have been impressed when they have given her chances to wrestle top talent. She needs to polish up her promo game a bit but seeing her wrestling on either show is a treat and I’m ready to see the moon queen takeover as she did in Nxt.
What are your thoughts on my list? Who do you have breaking out in 2020?
