In Futbol it is common to be transferred from one team to another mid-year or at the end of the year in the summer. Sometimes transfers work out well and they are finalized and other times teams see it isn’t a good match and give the player back.
Here are the top 3 transfers from this summers transfer portal.
Leroy Sane from Manchester City to Bayern Munich
One of the worst kept secrets in the world of Futbol was finally made official when Sane put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Bayern Munich. Considering Manchester City were seeking over €100 million prior to his injury last year – and before the pandemic threw the sport into financial turmoil – the deal looks like a slam dunk for the Munich squad. Sane joins a packed team and will be able to pair up with a few other young talents and make Munich much better. Considering they’ve won the title each of last few years this is scary.
Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid to Inter Milan
Seemingly out of the blue, the Italian side swooped in to secure Hakimi’s rights like a thief in the night. He’s quickly developed into one of the best, most explosive full-backs in world football. The experience he gained being on Borussia Dortmund over the last two seasons will serve him well under Antonio Conte, who relies heavily on his wing-backs to facilitate play and get involved in the attack. I wonder why Real Madrid allowed this since he is 21 and is starting to add to his game? However, Inter Milan did great job getting this deal done and bringing this guy to the Italian League.
Timo Werner from RB Leipzig to Chelsea
As if the Chelsea squad didn’t need to bring on any more young talent after seeing Pulisic play over the last few weeks this team did something great and brought in Werner. In Werner, they get an electrifying, versatile forward who’s still going to improve as his career at Stamford Bridge progresses. At just 24 years old, he’s coming off a campaign in Germany in which he banged home 28 goals, second only to scoring machine Robert Lewandowski. What’s scarier, though, is that he joins an attack already boasting plenty of young talent like I mentioned before. That’s how a club sets itself up for sustained success. Bring in talent before the old veterans know it’s time to call it a career .
