Hey everyone it’s your RSH Champ Josh DeBord here to talk to you about one of the hottest topics in all of the world of professional wrestling. Yes, I’m talking about Retribution! The typical wrestling fan nowadays is completely sickening, they ask for new things, and then when they get them they cry about it without even giving logical thought about it.
This is where I hope to help. Retribution is the BEST thing in wrestling going right now and I find it funny how the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community) likes to say how illogical this stable is and how they make zero sense. All of the complaining you all do about how WWE misuses there talent and you want to see change but yet when you get a group that’s trying to bring you that you get on the internet and cry about it. If you can’t see the logic here you really really really should consider watching something else or getting your brain checked.
But anyway, I will break down each member of Retribution and why each person being in this group makes sense and why this group is ultimately going to be successful. Also, thanks to MACE for jumping into our RSH (my show with Chuck Winchester you can find on All Everything Entertainment every Thursday at 6ET) and I hope more members do down the road as I will continue to put this group over. Let’s get this break down going!!
Retribution Member: Reckoning (Mia Yim)
Reckoning has tons of reasons to want to destroy WWE as WWE has seemingly tried to destroy her character her whole time in NXT. After impressing in the Mae Young Classic in 2017 and 2018 and going to NXT I thought she was destined for huge things. Great in the ring, great look, and good mic skills she had (and still has) everything needs to be a bonafide star but she never got that opportunity. The mocking of the WWE Universe toward her accomplishments or lack thereof is sickening. Losing at NXT Toronto in her championship opportunity against Shayna Bayzler where you could hear the crowd booing her as she used tactics (the same as Bayzler) to attempt to win the belt is where it begins. Completely ridiculous by the WWE Universe. Then go to the first-ever NXT Women’s War Games match where she is taken out and unable to compete. It seems every opportunity she has gotten (and deserved) WWE has done something to ruin it. THEY EVEN HAD HER AS A MEMBER OF Adam Rose’s Rosebuds when he was down in NXT. How ridiculous! She deserves a lot better and I think she will get it after getting her RETRIBUTION!!!
Retribution Member: SlapJack (Shane Thorne)
Called up to Monday Night Raw along with Brendon Vink (a guy who I think should join Retribution as well) these two guys were associated with MVP who dropped them just weeks later to build what we now know as The Hurt Business. These two men showed nothing but promise then BOOM gone. What sense does this even make? Why target The Hurt Business? I mean does this make sense for you all now? MVP did this to himself. One of the most annoying things is the idiots of the WWE Universe that want to poke fun at the name SlapJack. Are we 5 years old? Like really? Get your head’s out of your a$$ and open your eyes to what’s in front of your face. SlapJack was a future tag team champion and got his opportunity taken away for no reason. Why cause MVP decided to just give up on him even though he showed tons of promise? That makes zero sense and SlapJack will get his RETRIBUTION!!!!
Retribution Member: Mace (Dio Madden)
I appreciate and respect each member of Retribution but to me, this guy is going to be the biggest star out of this group (to be fair I think all of them will). This guy is a physically dominate looking freak. He looks like a superstar and WWE gave him the least amount of opportunity out of all the members of this group. Once a part of the Monday Night Raw announce team and doing a fantastic job he gets instantly replaced after standing up to Brock Lesnar on the behalf of Jerry “The King” Lawler and taking an F5 through the announce table. Then BOOM never to be seen, mentioned, or heard from again. I mean come on WWE what the hell is that all about? As for Brock Lesnar, you better go to UFC or whatever WWE show Retribution isn’t on because you have an ass-kicking coming. Mace is going to punish you for what you did and show why he is going to be the next big star in WWE. Mace will get his Retribution!!!!
Retribution Member: T-Bar (Dominik Dijakovic)
This guy is on fire and is a force to be reckoned with. On Twitter, this guy has been calling out and schooling people such as Busted Open’s Dave LeGreca, Bryan Alvarez (one of the biggest jackasses on this planet), Eric Bischoff (why is this guy still even relevant?), and AEW superstar Chris Jericho. All people who want to throw shade or attempt to mock Retribution T-Bar quickly shut them all down and shut them all up. Let’s break down why he has a huge gripe with WWE. A guy who showed he had everything that it takes to be a huge player in the company in his time in NXT yet he got no recognition for anything he accomplished. His matches with Keith Lee seemingly put NXT on the map especially when they first started to air live. Yet, it was Keith who got the Survivor Series and Royal Rumble moments. How is that fair? On top of that, Keith Lee was supposed to be one of his best friends and all he did was watch Karrion Kross destroy him without lending a hand to help, and then Lee shows up on Monday Night Raw like nothing ever even happened! What a good friend right? T-Bar said “WWE superstars are whores for their contracts” and Keith Lee is proof of that. Not only abandoning his “friend” he changes his gear, his theme song, and even his finishing move. People questioning why Retribution attacked Lee multiple times does this make sense now? T-Bar has every reason to be pissed off and he will get his RETRIBUTION!!!!
Retribution Member: Mustafa Ali
The shock factor of Ali joining Retribution right? Everyone was so shocked and surprised but the question is: Is it really that shocking? This guy has had nothing but opportunities ripped away from him. Is he the leader or is there more of the story to unfold? That remains to be seen but the reasons for him to have issues with the WWE are obvious. Let’s dive into them, shall we? Do you remember when Ali had his hands on the Money in the Bank briefcase only to have Brock Lesnar come out and take it from him when he wasn’t even in the match? Brock, you better watch your back if you ever return cause there is some Retribution to be had on you. What about KofiMania? That was Ali’s spot in the Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania was going to be HIS MOMENT. Due to injuries caused by Randy Orton (better watch your back bro), Ali was forced to give up his spot to Kofi who then went on the win the World Championship at Wrestlemania while Ali was forced to watch on the sidelines. With Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods now being drafted to Monday Night Raw, I think it’s fair to assume that Retribution will be paying Kofi a visit. Ali even tweeted hi to him shortly after The New Day was drafted to Smackdown last night. Back to the injury situation. So after Ali finally gets back what does WWE do with him? Put’s him on Raw for a few weeks then throws him down on WWE Main Event. A talent like Ali deserves SO MUCH MORE than that. It’s absolutely insane that WWE has treated Ali this way. This guy is one of the most talented performers in the world. Whether he is the leader or just a member it doesn’t derail the fact that Ali will get what he deserves and that’s the spotlight which he is long overdue for. WWE you made your bed now you have to sleep in it and I cannot wait to see Ali get his RETRIBUTION!!!!
A lot is left to unfold with this group as we don’t know if there are more members to be added. You have The Miz who curiously weeks ago doesn’t show up until after Retribution attacked Smackdown talent (2 weeks he did that actually). You got superstars that are underutilized such as Bo Dallas, Richochet, Apollo, Tucker, and many many more that have more than a reason to want retribution.
This group is just getting started and the WWE should fear for what’s coming next. I had the pleasure of Mace jumping into my show RSH (as stated in the introduction above) and I hope to have the honor of interviewing these superstars one day. Tim King and I have been supporters of this group since day one and we will continue to put you all over every chance we get the opportunity. We apologize for the other members at All Everything Entertainment that fail to see the obvious and logical reason for you all’s actions.
Wrestling fans for years have complained about superstars not being treated fairly, not getting pushed, not getting used correctly among many other things. Then you get a group that is trying to set things right and end all those issues and make WWE a better place and all you want to do is complain? Wrestling fans after you read this and if you still don’t understand why Retribution is exactly what WWE needs then you need to read this again, again, and again. WWE has been on a downward spiral for years now and the solution to this problem is here and it’s time for you all to get behind or get out of the way. WWE is going to be a better place just you wait and see and that’s going to be due to one thing: RETRIBUTION!!!!
