Before getting into the best moments from this week in wrestling, I want to offer my condolences to the wrestling community for the sudden death of former WWE superstar Shad Gaspard and Stardom superstar Hana Kimura. The year 2020 is getting worst day by day for all of us, but somehow we have to move on. So let’s get into some wrestling and the top moments of the week.

15. Bayley beats The Queen
This week on Smackdown, Bayley went one on one against Charlotte Flair in a Champion vs Champion match. The match was very competitive and Sasha Banks was not there to support Bayley but somehow she pulled out a big win against The Queen.
14. Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander destroys Nyla Rose
AEW Dynamite featured a great Women’s Tag Team match. We saw Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander take on Nyla Rose and Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. In this match, Nyla Rose pinned Hikaru Shida (who she will face at Double or Nothing for AEW Women’s Championship) to get the victory by Beast Bomb. After the match, she sets up a table and tries to Beast Bomb Shida but Statlander makes the save and Shida puts her on the table to close the segment. Britt Baker hurt herself during the match and now she will not compete at Double or Nothing against Kris Statlander.
13. Morrison and The Miz want the Universal Championship
This week at Smackdown, Braun Strowman gets into an argument over his win on Bray Wyatt with The Miz. They solved that issue in the ring, facing off each other one on one. Morrison tries to help The Miz to get the victoru but fails and gets the hands of Strowman. Strowman pinned Miz after a running powerslam for victory but Morrison challenged him in a 2 on 1 handicap match at Backlash for the Universal Championship.
12. Rhea and Io both will get The Queen
NXT featured a great main event match between Rhea Ripley and Io Shirai to determine the No. 1 contender for The Queen’s NXT Women’s Championship. Both were having a great match until suddenly Charlotte comes down to the ringside to watch the match. Io throws Rhea onto her, this made Charlotte furious and she attacks and puts them both down. Now, NXT GM William Regal has made a triple threat match for the NXT Women’s Championship between Rhea, Io, and Charlotte at NXT Takeover “In your House” on June 7th.
11. Tommaso Ciampa challenged Karrion Kross
A few weeks ago we saw Karrion Kross assault Ciampa to make a statement for himself. Now Ciampa is back to take back for his revenge on Kross at NXT Takeover” In your House.” Before their faceoff in the ring, Karrion Kross puts another guy to sleep for the victory. Kross and Ciampa is going g to be fantastic.
10. Kevin Owens and Apollo Crews are back
This week on Raw, we saw the much-awaited return of Kevin Owens and “The KO Show” which featured The trio of Andrade, Garza, and Theory as guests. Owens introduced another guest who was none other than Apollo Crews returning from a knee injury. Crews wasted no time in attacking Andrade. This sets up a tag team match between Andrade and Garza vs Owens and Crews. At the last moments of the match we saw, Theory mistakenly punch Garza in the face which leads him to get a Powerbomb by Crews for victory. After the match, Andrade and Garza beat down their own partner Theory and leave him alone at the ringside.
9. Drew McIntyre got a “Almighty” challenger at Backlash
The main event of Raw featured a match between Drew McIntyre and King Corbin. Drew beat Corbin easily but he got the attention of Bobby Lashley and MVP from the stage. MVP said Lashley is the next in line for your Championship at Backlash. That should be physical.
8. Jeff Hardy defeated Sheamus to advance in the IC title tourney
The main event of Smackdown featured a returning Jeff Hardy vs Sheamus. Sheamus dominated the whole match but at last Hardy rolled him up to advance into the Semi-Finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament.
7. Seth Rollins got another disciple in Austin Theory
This week, Buddy Murphy fought two matches on Raw. One against Humberto Carrillo which he won when Rollins created a distraction and the other one was against his former rival AlesiterBlack. Theory was laid at ringside after getting assaulted by Andrade and Garza. Rollins saw him and offered him his hand to join him. Theory joined him and attacked Black. Rollins is now leading Theory and Murphy.
6. Jon Moxley will put Brodie Lee to sleep
AEW Dynamite kicked off with Jon Moxley facing a member of the Dark Order named 10. Moxley and 10 put up a great show starter and at last Moxley assaults 10 just to bring Brodie Lee out by giving 10 a Dirty Deeds then a Spike Pile driver and a Paradigm Shift. Brodie appeared on the titantron after the match and says Moxley will get him at Double or Nothing and 10 is there to give any sacrifices for Lee. At the end of the segment Moxley broke the arm of 10 and left the arena.
5. Gargano and Candice wants a piece of Keith Lee and Mia Yim
Mia Yim had a match with Santana Garrett which she won easily. After the match, LeRae and Gargano came to the ring and criticized Yim for not beating Charlotte in their recent encounter. They kept on criticizing Yim for her performances and suddenly Candice attacked Yim. This led to Keith Lee making the save for Yim.
4. Adam Page and The Young Bucks are back
AEW Dynamite featured a great main event between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara. After a competitive match Hardy defeats Guevara but on the titantron Chris Jericho and the rest of the Inner Circle shows up. The Inner Circle had tied Kenny Omega to a goal post at the football stadium when the Young Bucks appeared to make the save. Matt Hardy ran in too and the show ended with a brawl. Hangman Adam Page also made an appearance and his big comeback heading into Double or Nothing.
3. Edge accepts Orton’s challenge
Last week we saw, Orton challenge Edge to a wrestling match at Backlash. But Edge didn’t respond. However, this week Edge kicked off the show and accepted Orton’s challenge.
2. AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura put on a great match
AJ Styles has been traded to Smackdown and now he is a Smackdown superstar. Styles faced off Nakamura in one on one action. They both puts on a great match and delighted Smackdown this week. In the end, we saw Styles victorious by pinning Nakamura after a Phenomenal Forearm. Styles advanced to the Semi-Finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament and now he will face Elias next week.
1. NXT saws a huge upset victory this week
Drake Maverick faced Kushida in the cruiserweight title tournament and to prove himself as a competitor before leaving WWE. Maverick defeated Kushida in a huge upset with a roll-up. Jake Atlas was seen supporting Maverick from the ringside. After the match, Byron Saxton entered to deliver a message from NXT GM William Regal that because Maverick, Kushida, and Atlas are all 2-1 with same head to head record, they will wrestle a Triple Threat match next week to determine who will face El Hijo Del Fantasma in the tournament Finals.
