Cleveland Browns Hire Kevin Stefanski as Head Coach
A day after the Vikings were eliminated from the playoffs we’ve learned their now former offensive coordinator, Kevin Stefanski will be taking over as the Head Coach of the Cleveland Browns.
Stefanski had served on Mike Zimmer’s staff as the QB coach before becoming offensive coordinator after the midseason firing of John DeFilippo.
Stefanski is credited for getting the most out of Kirk Cousins. Cousins was one of the most efficient players in the NFL this season and the return of Dalvin Cook helped propel the Vikings into the divisional round of the NFC playoffs.
We’re told the Browns had narrowed the candidates down to Josh McDaniels and Stefanski and ultimately they chose Stefanski. Stefanski was the runner up for the job last year before the Browns went with Freddie Kitchens.
The front office is still being worked out as of right now. the Browns don’t have a General Manager after firing previous General Manager John Dorsey who made moves to get a plethora of talent into this roster with the likes of Odell Beckham, Nick Chubb, Baker Mayfield, and Kareem Hunt. It is now on Stefanski will now have to figure out how to get the most of.
As mentioned, the Browns liked Stefanski last year. However, this coaching hire is a typical Browns move as they hire yet another first-time head coach.
Who do you think the Browns should have brought in as their head coach?
