Former UFC Champ to Join Cain Velasquez in WWE?

Cain Velasquez shook the wrestling world by signing a deal with WWE and retiring from UFC. His training partner, former UFC Champion Daniel Cormier spoke with MMA Fighting about Velasquez making the move to wrestling.

Cormier said it was a sad day to see Cain retire from the UFC but that he is incredibly happy for Cain, his wife Michelle, and their kids. He said that he could tell Cain had a love for professional wrestling and that he would be in the industry sooner than later. The big winner in this whole deal is the WWE Universe. The fans are in for a treat, getting to watch Cain perform. I’m excited to see the program between him and Brock.

Cain took down Brock down in his debut on Smackdown on Fox on October 4th. This would set up a match at the WWE Pay-Per-View, Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The event will take place at the King Fahd International Stadium on Oct. 31, 2019. Cain Velasquez challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship promises to be a physical match.

The intriguing part of all this is Cormier. Cormier has links to both Cain and Brock Lesnar. Cormier recently lost both of his championships. Could Cormier follow his buddy to the WWE for that large payday?

Don’t be surprised to see DC in a WWE ring come Wrestlemania in April.

DC vs Brock could draw HUGE mainstream appeal for the WWE.
