Scoob Movie Review Without Spoilers

This weekend I was lucky enough to sit down with my family and watch the movie Scoob! For those that don’t know Scoob is the current adventure of Shaggy, Fred, Daphne, Velma, and of course everyone’s favorite pup Scooby-Doo. For those who haven’t seen the trailer, we have it here! I won’t give out spoilers but here is the synopsis!

Scooby and the gang face their most challenging mystery ever. A plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this dogpocalypse, the gang discovers that Scooby has an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.

In the movie, we also get to see how the gang met. Which is always fun. The story is cute and it is definitely a family film. However, some people were not fully happy about was the animation because people love Scooby as a cartoon. Remember this is 2020 the animation is not today what it was in the 80s and 90s. If you love animation like The Incredibles, Wreck-It Ralph, or Toy Story you will love Scoob!

Scoob was supposed to be released in theatres on May 15th but like all other movies during this pandemic that wasn’t going to happen. Just like Trolls 2 which did huge numbers, instead of just releasing the movie later in the year or next year they decided to release it on demand for a $20.00 price tag.

The cast includes Zac Efron(Fred), Will Forte(Shaggy), Gina Rodriguez(Velma), Amanda Seyfried(Daphne), and Frank Welker(Scooby Doobie Doo). We also see Mark Wahlberg as Blue Falcon, Ken Jeong as Dynomutt, Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman, and Simon Cowell as himself.

Overall great cast, great story, loved the animation, and a great price to watch the movie from the comfort of our living room. I hope they make a sequel!
