Tyreek Hill Injured At Chiefs Training Camp

Tyreek Hill was carted off the field today during todays practice. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Hill Suffered a bruised Quad muscle after being hit by cornerback Bashaud Breeland, who was breaking up a pass.
Hill was riding in the passenger seat of the cart and was waving as he was being driven off. It doesn’t seem to be a serious injury but this is the 2nd time this week a star WR has been taken out by a rogue corner. In any event, you don’t want to see one of your star players injured during training camp. We’ll get the latest update on Hill’s injury from Chiefs PR when practice concludes.

Earlier this week, AJ Green was hit on by cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick. Kirkpatrick appeared to bump Green as he knocked away the pass, and Green appeared to land awkwardly on the left foot. Green limped a few steps, crouched, limped a few more and then appeared to grab his mouth guard, flinging it to the ground. Later it came out that Green will be out 6-8 weeks.

I know practice is important, but for guys that have the value that Hill and Green do for their teams, it’s not worth the injury. Most teams are even going to not playing their stars during the preseason because it is meaningless. It is not worth the risk and it’s only a matter of time before the key guys get a red jersey in practice.
