WWE NXT Live On USA 9/25 Review

One week after the Black and Yellow Brand debuted on USA Network, the reviews and ratings were immensely positive. The hype and anticipation lived up to expectation. Now Week 2 on USA has come and gone and there is so much to unpack here so let’s break it all down:

Hour One:

Keith Lee vs Dominik Dijakovic

To start off the show, The Undisputed Era decided to show off all their gold before the start of the first match. Then Match 3 between Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic happened and once again these two big men put on an instant classic. These two together have such wonderful chemistry and they bring the best out of each other. The first match ended in a count-out. The second match went to Dijakovic. Now the third match went to Keith Lee.

The Return of Dakota Kai

The Kiwi Cutie and Captain of Team Kick Dakota Kai returned for the first time since her injury that put her on the sideline for months. She faced off against the Brazilian firecracker Taynara. Kai won in convincing fashion.

Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain – #1 Contender’s Match for an NXT Championship Match

These two have been one of NXT’s top storylines over the last few months. They have fought everywhere and anywhere and last week’s Street Fight ended in chaos, so this week’s Street Fight was just as chaotic. Table spots, chairs, the aggression was real in this Street Fight. In a surprising result, Dain tapped out to Riddle from an armbar submission. Riddle, beaten down and exhausted is then confronted by the NXT Champion Adam Cole. Cole talked trash and got an armbar from Riddle as well.

These two men will face off in a HUGE way in a HUGE Championship edition of NXT next week as these two face off for the NXT Championship.

Hour Two:

Rhea Ripley vs Kayden Carter

The Aussie Powerhouse faced off against Kayden Carter, formerly Lacey Lane in the 2nd Mae Young Classic. This was a really good match. It was nowhere a one-sided match. Carter got a lot of offense in but in the end, Ripley picked up the win.

Danny Birch & Oney Lorcan vs Chase Parker & Matt Martel

The hard-hitting duo of Birch & Lorcan faced off against two newcomers calling themselves Ever-Rise. This was a decent tag team match. The match went just as predicted, Lorcan and Birch win.

Cameron Grimes vs Raul Mendoza

Last week, Cameron Grimes won a match in less than 30 seconds against Sean Maluta. Now he had a match with Raul Mendoza, and it was anything but short. In the end, the result was the same. Grimes wins.

Imperium vs Kushida & Breezango

Last week, Imperium invaded NXT looking for a fight and Kushida gave them one. Which brings us to the main event. Imperium, represented by Alexander Wolfe, Marcel Barthel, and Fabian Aichner faced Kushida and his mystery partners, Breezango. This was a very entertaining tag team match. Kushida won off a rollup on Barthel. After the match, Walter attacked Kushida so it’s evident that Kushida and Walter will fight down the line, maybe even for the WWE United Kingdom Championship.

Next week, NXT is two hours LIVE on USA with three big championship matches.

Adam Cole defends the NXT Championship against Matt Riddle.

Shayna Baszler defends the NXT Women’s Championship against Candice LeRae.

The Undisputed Era defends the NXT Tag Team Championship against The Street Profits.

You can count on All Everything Entertainment this show and all NXT episodes in the future as this era of NXT on USA continues.
